How Dabbel works
Find a partner or a small group for things you already want to do, nearby and soon. Here’s the whole thing, step by step.
Joining a plan
It takes a couple of minutes:
- Add your name and birth year. Dabbel is for adults 18 and over.
- Pick what brings you to Dabbel, like making new friends, staying active or learning a new skill.
- Write a short bio. It’s optional, but it helps hosts say yes.
- Add a clear photo of your face so people know who they’re meeting.
Browse activities near you happening in the next two weeks. You can narrow it down by:
- When: today, tomorrow or the weekend.
- Size: one-on-one pairs or small groups.
- Who: only activities your friends are in.
Each activity shows the skill level, from beginner friendly to advanced, and whether it’s free or paid.
Every plan is two to four people. Tap join and you’re in. If the host approves requests, you’ll show as pending until they accept.
The group chat opens as soon as a second person joins. Use it to settle the time, the place and anything people should bring.
Show up and do the thing. If your plans change, tell the group in the chat as early as you can.
Hosting your own
- Say what you’re doing, where and when.
- Set the group size, from two to four people.
- Add a skill level and whether it’s free or paid.
- Choose whether people can join right away or need your approval.
Your activity stays open for two weeks. The chat opens when the first person joins, so you can start planning together.
Staying safe
Everyone on Dabbel is 18 or older. You can report or block anyone from their profile, and blocking removes you from any group chats you share. Read our community guidelines for the full rules.
